I began work on Contemplation last week and it’s now finished and mounted on a 14″ x 11″ canvas. I usually add paint and texture to the canvas before mounting my textiles, however this time I wrapped the canvas with a piece of fabric instead. I really like the contrasting colors on the canvas. (Update: You can see how I wrapped the canvas with fabric here.)
I used an image of Cléo-de-Mérode as my inspiration for this piece.
