We’re now over half-way through the 10-week Assemblage Hand-Dyeing Workshop, and judging by the photos that students are sharing, they are creating some amazingly beautiful fabric collections in all sorts of color combinations.
These past few weeks we’ve been exploring microwave dyeing which is quick and easy, and tie dyeing which is so much fun. I never get tired of seeing beautiful hand-dyed fabrics such as these.
Parfait Dyeing
This week we’re exploring techniques using parfait dyeing which is layering fabrics in a container in much the same was as you make a delicious parfait treat. I can’t wait to see what beautiful fabrics and fibers emerge from this technique.
