This week I continue my journey of making art every day.
I’ve never been much for counting the days and wishing for time to pass quickly, however after several weeks of making art every day, I’ve already become more mindful of how fleeting time really is. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but I know that already I feel more connected and present in my life, and I find myself more mindful of the small interesting things that happen each day.
I enjoyed collecting my memories for this week and I particularly enjoyed making fabric art tags using leftover PhotoArt images and scraps of fabric. Scroll down the page to see them.

12th January
I harvested some mandarins from the tree in the backyard that managed to survive the recent freezing weather. These leaves from the tree will eventually become dry and brittle, but they’re easier to sew when they’re fresh.

A magazine article worth remembering and rereading at some future time.

Some private journaling and secret notes.

The latest session of my Assemblage Hand-Dyeing Workshop began today so I stitched a small fabric collage using some of my hand-dyed fabric scraps.

I had so much fun with the tag art yesterday, I made another one today.
