Fabric Paper Treasure Chest

Some time ago I made this piece of embroidered fabric paper and just haven’t had a chance up till now to do anything with it. So this weekend I took a little downtime, added some more free motion stitching to the surface of the fabric paper …

and then cut it up to make this beautiful little treasure chest.

This is the front view …

I like the way it turned out and it’s a great way to use up those beautiful pieces of fabric paper!

Linda, I love your blog. Last week I signed up for receiving your posts and got this one tonight, showing the neat little treasure chest you made with “fabric paper”. I am getting into fabric embellishment and love the effects possible on the little girls’ dresses and bags I make. For now, I am selling locally, but I will be adding my “stuff” to my Etsy site in the future.

I have a Bernina 1630 with many, many decorative stitches that I love experimenting with. Experimenting with fabric embellishment is so much fun!
