In this online workshop, learn how to make a vintage-style journal with a stitched mixed media cover. I designed this particular journal as a way for beginners to get started with stitched journal covers, and although the cover might look complicated, it’s a simple design and quite easy to assemble. The pages are tea-dyed to create a vintage feel, and the cover has inside pockets on the front and back cover, a hidden spine, and can be creatively embellished.
If you’ve never made a stitched journal before, you’ll be amazed at how easy this one is to make. Experienced journal-makers will also appreciate the simplicity of the design which can be easily altered to create a vintage, shabby chic, or even a nature journal depending on how you embellish the cover.
This online video workshop is available as a stand-alone online workshop, as part of Creative Art’n’Soul Journaling, and also now available on Skillshare.
