Later this year I have the privilege of leading a small and intimate group of travelers on a very special and personal journey as we head off to Santorini, Greece for a week.
During that week we’ll become part traveler, part artist, and part seeker.
As travelers we’ll get to see some of the most beautiful sights that Santorini has to offer. We’ll explore the history, scenery and architecture, with plenty of free time for wandering.
As artists we’ll be keeping sketches, journals, and photographs of our travels to use as reference material for assembling our Stitched Fragments Journal which will become a personal story of our week together in this magical land. We’ll have plenty of time to create art as we travel, as well as studio time back at the hotel. I’ll even be bringing my portable inkjet printer so we can print our photographs onto fabric to incorporate into our Fragments, and stitch on them right there and then. How magical is that!
As seekers we’ll be on a quest to discover and create our own personal memories of Santorini. We’ll be searching for the things that touch our heart; the small things that will make this trip so special and unique. We’ll be foraging for found objects that can be stored in pockets or hidden places within our Fragments journal. We’ll be looking at this place through the eyes of travelers and not tourists. It will be special.
I’ll be sharing more about this trip over the next few months however you can find a little more information in the short video below, as well as here on the Arts & Cultural Travel website. You can also find more information about my Fragments course here. (PS – when you sign up for the trip, you’ll also get free access to the Fragments online course at no extra cost.)
I’m so excited about this and I really look forward to seeing you in Santorini!
