The Dream Keeper

a stitched mixed media assemblage

The Dream Keeper

create a magical space for dreams to grow
with this stitched mixed media assemblage

Instead of making new year’s resolutions, each year I choose a guiding word for the year. This year, as well as choosing a word, I also decided to make a piece of art that I could hang on the wall and use as a visual reminder of that word. During the course of our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to forget our goals and dreams and ambitions. A visual reminder is a great way to keep them alive.

Use The Dream Keeper as a visual reminder for your own personal dreams.

Having a constant reminder of our dreams keeps them alive and in our field of vision so we can take daily steps toward achieving them. You can use The Dream Keeper as I did, as a reminder of your guiding word for the year, or use it as a visual reminder for any other dream that you want to create in your life.

In this tutorial I demonstrate how to work with symbols and intentional creativity to produce a stitched mixed media assemblage that has personal meaning and purpose.

  • Video Tutorial: approx 40 mins
  • 12 page downloadable PDF eBook which includes an introduction to working with symbols, step-by-step project instructions with photos, instructions for basic hand stitches
