This art journal page is made using a photoshopped image printed on a dryer sheet using an inkjet printer.

Way back when I was a very young quilter (young as in experience; umm, slightly older in age) I first heard of art quilters using dryer sheets in their artwork and thought – that’s pretty damn strange; why would anyone ever want to do that.
But being the creative explorer that I’ve always been, eventually I was intrigued enough to try them out and experiment with them in various ways.
Dryer sheets are now one of my very favorite fabrics to print on. It’s difficult to capture in a photo, but they have a translucent quality and a texture that you can’t find in any other type of fabric. The results are ethereal and soooooo beautiful. It’s a pity dryer sheets are so small.

My heart flutters when I’m deep in the flow of creating.
My heart flutters when I’m creatively challenged to find ways to interpret my emotions and feelings through art.
My heart flutters when I can teach someone to discover the deep connection to their creative nature.
What makes your heart flutter?
