New photoshop tutorial in progress – take a peak

One of my favorite parts of creating new tutorials is making samples to see how things look, and at present I’m beginning work on a new Photoshop “Photo Art” tutorial and this week I’ve been spending a lot of time with Photoshop and my printer preparing the outline for the tutorial which will be all about creating and using layer masks and clipping masks.

Layer masks and clipping masks can be used in various ways, but I use them mostly to create interesting visual texture and masked overlays. They can turn your photos into photo art in an instant as if by magic. And they are super fun to make.

These are some of the samples I’ve designed so far which I’ve printed onto fabric and made into small pieces of canvas wrapped textile art. I love the way they turned out!

Each of these are size 5″ x 7″ on a wrapped canvas and you can find them available for purchase here in my Etsy Store – $25.00 each.
