Have just looked at your new digital art designs and had to tell you how much I love them. You did a fantastic job.
I have just bought myself version 7 Photoshop and trying to learn how to use it, gosh it seem very complicated, so I found your tutorial and followed it through and I now have a wonder piece to print out, just got to prepare my fabric. So a big thanks for that.
Couple of questions if you dont mind, wher do you find your wonderful designs? are they freebie on line or purchased ones?
And…..what is paper fabric saw your video with the free motion work and thought I might like to try that idea out at some point.
BIG BIG thanks for all the info you provide for us
Bye for now

Hi Maria, Photoshop can be a little intimidating when you first begin, but after a while it’s just so much fun and I hope to have some more photoshop tutorials up on the blog as soon as I get a spare minute.
My designs are all created using my own photos or copyright free images that are available for download on the web. I often cut out and use only sections of an image. Then they are layered in photoshop elements using anything up to 20 layers, and then I add stamps and brushes and blending and mixing modes – it can get very complex but it results in digital art with lots of visual texture and very strong color.
Fabric paper is a blend of papers and fabrics fused together and can be used for various purposes. I use it mostly to create surface texture, and lately I’ve been using it as a base on which to print out my digital art and then I make my art bags and other accessories with it. There’s a downloadable lesson available in the store

and if you do a search on the blog you’ll probably find lots of other information.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the information on the blog – there’s lots of it.

Wow Linda, you are going from strength to strength. I love your new designs and images, you are such a hard worker. Enjoy yourself, Meryl Smith
Thanks Meryl, it doesn’t seem much like hard work when you love what you do
