Better late than never!

Do you find that sometimes even the simplest tasks can become a journey?

Several days ago I began designing the January pages for my Daily Art Journal – you can see where I started it here. I thought it would go together fairly quickly, and it did. Till my attention got sidetracked while I was in the middle of adding some doodle decoration to the page and my hand slipped. I tried to turn it into a decorative edge but I wasn’t loving it.

So I started again. This time I gave it my full attention and I kind of like the way it turned out but I’ll probably add some additional embellishment as the month goes on.

It may be winter on the outside, but it’s summer in my heart. I love my little flower garden!

I love those little spaces also! But when you know you only have a tiny space to fill it somehow becomes more important about what you put in there, doesn’t it? It makes you want to pay close attention to what you put your energy into during the day so that the tiny space gets filled with only the best you have to offer.

Now to fill in the first few days and catch up with the month. Luckily I’ve been keeping notes! I’ll share the page again at the end of the month. I’m sure it’ll look much different.

It is so easy to forget what you have done, i have also taken notes and must fill in my pages today and then each from now on. Lovely colour scheme.

Thanks Diane. I do love my colors ;)

  2. I love your calendar. You give me inspiration Linda. Intended to work on it yesterday but my creative mind needed to clean the sewing and craft closet and get myself organized so I could go forward for this year. I will have to put that on my calendar since it really felt good when I was done!

Hi Karen, getting yourself organized is a great way to get motivated. It seems to organize inside your head at the same time ;)

I am pleased to see this development Linda. I thought you meant to have one page for each day. Instead you mean one spot for each day.HA!

Yesterday I followed your video on printing on tissue paper and made the prettiest piece of paper I have ever, ever seen. I have begun to cut it up so I may need to do it again!!. Thank you for getting me motivated AGAIN!

The calendar thingy is working really well and I’m liking it! At the end of every day it forces me to do a review and pick just one thing that happened that was important. Not so easy some days.
